Graviola Max combines two species of graviola, i.e. Annona muricata and Annona montana. The same formula as previously manufactured by Raintree Nutrition Inc..

We distribute graviola since 2002 (with another company name, the first in Europe). In our experience, it is advisable to take Graviola Max together with N-Tense.

Graviola is a common herbal remedy in folk medicine throughout the tropics and is used for several purposes. Different properties and uses are attributed to the different parts of the tree: fruit and fruit juice are often used for parasites infections, diarrhea, dysentery; wheras, the bark, leaves, and roots are often used as antispasmodic, for hypertension, as sedatives, etc.

However, Graviola has become renowned for some active ingredients, mostly found in its leaves and stems, i.e. Annonaceous acetogenins.

In an 1976 plant screening program by the National Cancer Institute, graviola leaves and stem showed active toxicity against cancer cells and researchers have been following up on these findings since.

Several studies have been conducted on acetogenins many of which have been funded by The National Cancer Institute (U.S.A.) and/or The National Istitute of Health (U.S.A). Reasearchers at Purdue University, U.S.A., have conducted a lot of research of these plant chemicals and in 1997 published their findings. According to Purdue reaserchers acetogenins seemed to be able to affect cancer cells (and chiefly muliti-drug resistants ones). Acetogenins seem to inhibit the enzymatic processes that are only found in the membranes of cancerous tumor cells and block the transfer of ATP into those cells, without any harm to healthy cells.

Graviola (Annona Muricata) has 82 different acetagenin chemicals (in 10 distinct types), besides the other species of graviola, Mountain Graviola (Annona Montana), contains the main annonocin chemicals that graviola does, and it has 26 more acetogenin chemicals not found in annona muricata (in 6 distinct types).

Graviola Max does contain 108 active ingredients (acetogenins).

On these studies basis, Graviola has been used as a supplement to nutritionally support the immune system.

READ THE LABEL OF YOUR GRAVIOLA SUPPLEMENT: all the studies on acetogenins have been conducted using leaves and stems extracts. Fruit seeds also contain these compounds, yet researchers have documented that fruit seeds might have a neurotoxic effects at prolonged uses. Therefore, it's better off taking supplements containing mainly leaves and stems of graviola.

PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT TAKE GRAVIOLA TOGETHER WITH SUPPLEMENTS THAT INCREASE CELLULAR ENERGY (ATP), such as Coenzyme Q10, Vitamin C, Magnesium, many B Vitamins, and others. These may counteract one of the acetogenins' mechanisms of actions.

This herbal supplement won't be produced by Raintree Nutrition Inc.anymore. Due to the worsening of nutritional supplements regulations that progressively prohibited to freely speak about them, Raintree Nutrition Inc. has been led to the impossibility of saying what the supplement were for. Raintree Nutrition President, Dr. Leslie Taylor, decided that spreading her knowledge about Amazon herbs was far more important than producing and selling them. So, Raintree Nutrition Inc. closed down on 21/12/2012.

Yet, Dr. Taylor's formulas and knowledge about Amazon herbs haven't been lost.

Graviola Max is now available by a new manufacturer. The formula and quality are the same as Raintree's. The good news is that these are smaller capsules and easier to swallow.
